i still can't get my mind around the fact that i will be getting MARRIED in 50 days. I am nervous, stressed, but most of all excited. Today, my mom and i made a list of all the things we need to get done before wedding day and that was an eye opener! i need to start checking things off as soon as possible. Realizing that i will be entering a marriage soon didn't fully register to me until about a month ago, when i started thinking about all the different responsibilities david and i are going to have being on our own. I have always lived at home so having my own place where i will have clean and cook, all the while going to school full time and working part time is somewhat stressing me out. I hope david likes kraft macaroni and cheese, and frozen lasagne!

The thing i am most excited about is being sealed to david in the temple! Everyday i love him more than the last. He makes me so happy, and has been a great boyfriend, wonderful fiance, and i know he'll make an amazing husband and father. There have been a few bumps along the road with wedding things and he has been by my side, helping and comforting me through out everything. More and more often i find myself thinking about our future marriage and family. It's fun to know that the man i'm dating right now, will soon be my husband, father of our children, and grandpa to the grandbabies. I am a lucky girl!

so here's to the final 50 days.

Today, David asked me to be his wife. Today is the happiest day of my life...thus far.

On October 24, 2008 the mister and I went on our first date to the Santa Monica Pier, where we took a ride on the ferris wheel. Today we went to the pier for a day of fun and while riding on the ferris wheel, mister said to me, "I have a present for you." He then took out a little black box from his pocket, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. I said yes of course. I am so excited to spend forever with him!

For the last, well a lot of months, i have gotten my nails done in anticipation for this special moment. I usually get them done around holidays and birthdays, and was planning on getting them done this next week since my birthday is in one week [april 10th]. A little after mister asked me to marry him, he pointed out my nails weren't done. SOOO what else to do than go find a nail salon in Santa Monica and get them done!

On March 17th my best friend, Brindie, had the most perfect baby girl. I got to hold her a couple hours after she was born and it was seriously the best feeling ever; like i was holding a little bit of heaven. She was 7lbs. 7oz and 19.5 inches long...and also eight days late! I wish she would stay tiny for ever, but i am also so excited to watch her grow up!

My friend and high school crush, J.R. Celski, will be competing in the 1500 meter tonight, 1,000 meter on 2/17 and possibly the 5,000 meter relay on 2/26!!!

you might recognize him from the 24-hour fitness commercials as well as being shown in the opening ceremonies friday night!

I am so excited and proud of him and can't wait to see him win GOLD!

january 6, 2010: Today mister took me to universal studios hollywood. Despite everyone and their mom being there for the texas vs. alabama game, the lines were short plus the weather was nice too! i had a fun time with my man, and loved spending the whole day with him.

Laci and I at her wedding reception. This girl is a walking miracle and a true testament that the Lord does hear and answer prayers. I first met her at camp ronald mcdonald for good times when i was 8 years old. We were both cancer survivors, and as it turns out, also in the same stake. We remained friends from then on, going to camp together year after year and seeing eachother at church. In July of 2008 a brain tumor was found. She endured more treatments and in the end won the battle ONCE AGAIN and is now cancer free! I am so excited for her to start a new chapter in her life as a married woman! Love you miss Laci!

On Tuesday, the mister and i celebrated our one year anniversary!

He gave me my present at midnight on tuesday. Even though i was half asleep i was so excited when i opened my present...

We celebrated with a dinner to claim jumper on friday!

This year has been a lot of fun for both of us.
We've gone on vacations to hawaii, utah, lake havasu, and oceanside.

I love this man so much. He always makes me laugh, and there is rarely a moment that i am not smiling when i am with him. He is a hard worker and soon-to-be college graduate in a couple weeks! woohoo. The mister makes me so happy, and i'm lucky to have him in my life.
I can't wait to be his wifey and spend forever with him.

weekend getaway

Last weekend the mister and I headed over to Utah for a weekend trip.
We flew into salt lake city on saturday morning and headed over to the temple.

There were so many people getting married and even though i didn't know them i was way excited for all of them. Every time we walked by a bride and groom i'd tell the mister, "aww look how cute, don't they look soo happy?!" i'm sure he thought my excitement for these strangers was amusing.

We took the trip to Utah to go to Tim and Ashley's reception. David and Tim were companions on the mission. The reception house was really pretty and everyone was so friendly.
We sat with Tim's grandparents who now live in utah and found out that the grandma was in my family ward back in the 70's and the grandpa's old work office was in covina, where david is from...small world.

Back in May the mister and I took a week long trip to Kauai and Honolulu. David served his mission in Hawaii and my family lives there so it was the perfect place to go!

On Friday we celebrated my 19th birthday!

i woke up to a text from the mister saying:
"Good morning birthday girl! 19 years ago a cute little girl was born!"
{...so cute!}

and a voicemail of Kalita[david's sister-n-law] and her two kids, Kaylie and Karsen
singing me the HAPPY BIRTHDAY song.

thanks you guys, it started my special day off perfect!

Christmas eve.
started with dinner a spaghetti dinner with my family.

then i headed over to the misters house to exchange christmas presents.
i got him a new wet suit and a sweatshirt.
...then it was my turn to open my present from him...

present number one:
a warm, pretty cashmere scarf!
present number two:
peppermint chocolate, a starbucks gift card, and some gum...(i ALWAYS have some with me.)

an ipod touch!

i was so excited...

christmas morning started with breakfast with the family.

the next couple hours were spent hanging out with the family, and then we had christmas dinner.
i headed over to David's house after dinner, and spent some time with his BIG family.
they are always so fun, and welcoming!

The other day i was reading a talk from the ensign about how being a mother and a wife is a divine role. That heavenly father placed his daughters on this earth for a special reason, to love and nuture, and to stand strong and immovable in faith, family, and relief. What great and magical things to be entrusted with! I love my heavenly father, I love my family, especially my mother who is my bestest friend. I love the gospel, and the joy it brings into my life, each and everyday. I know heavenly father loves us and hears our prayers. I have seen miracles happen right in front of me. I cannot wait for the day when i become a mother and get to love and nuture my children. I cannot wait to become a wife, and share my life with someone else forever and all eternity.

Every year i have the privilege to attend Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times. It is a camp for cancer patients and their siblings. Over the last ten years i have made many unforgettable memories, and friendships that will last a lifetime. Each year i meet new people who inspires me to live life to the fullest and to never give up. Being a cancer survivor myself i have always been thankful to be here today.

I met Laci at this summer camp, not knowing she was in my stake (we were only eight) ever since then we have have been going to this magical place together. We have the bond of being survivors. She is such an amazing person. I know that she can overcome any obstacle that stands in her way.

SO i can definitely say i am ready to be done with high school. The one last thing i was looking forward to was prom! which was on May 9, 2008...and now that its over im ready for graduation. Prom was pretty fun. We started off the night taking pictures at a Heritage park and then headed over to Bucca Di Beppo's for the amazing dinner! it was yummy. Then it was off to the Disneyland Hotel for prom. What a night!

a while ago i saw a recipe for making little cinnamon dough nut hole cupcakes, and so tonight, with nothing else to do i decided to try it out.

the recipe:
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 package white or yellow cake mix [and all the other stuff to prepare the mix]
1 tablespoon ground nutmeg

1. preheat oven to 350. grease and flour muffin pan. combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, and set aside.
2. prepare your cake mix, stir in nutmeg. spoon the batter into muffin pans filling 2/3 full.
3. bake 12 minutes and remove cupcakes from pans. roll warm cupcakes in sugar mix until completely covered.
(makes about 48 little dough nuts!)

it was sooo easy, and even my little brother frank had fun helping me make them.

April 10, 2008: i can finally say i am eighteen. Once i hit the age sixteen all i could look forward to was eighteen...now im here, and nothing seems too different. haha, i guess i had high expectations.

Well the day went something like this: got up and found miss m.good at the front door!

she is pretty much amazing! last year she decorated my porch, and this year my door had a ton of different words that described me. how lucky am i to have her as my bestest!

....well i didn't feel like it was a school kind of day so instead i went to work...ha, doesn't sound to exciting but it wasn't bad, i went to a luncheon and got paid! when work was done i went to subway with my mom and brother then it was back home to get ready for the birthday dinner. I headed off to Claim Jumper with my mom, dad, brother, and best friend Meagan.

so...i thought the day was over. i had had an amazing birthday with amazing people, but Chad "realllly wanted to see me" so meg and i headed over to the institute to meet him there. I walk in the door and the lights turn on. and there are about twenty people yelling SURPRISE! i had no idea what was going on, and was definetely suprised. It was so nice of everyone to come and wish me a happy birthday and welcoming to the singles ward, which i have gone to "illegally" for the last six monthes. Well the night ended with a cupcake eating contest and a big smile on my face. Thanks to everone, especially meagan and brigham! who made my birthday unforgettable!

monday night fhe: foodfight! it was quite amazing. i can definetely say that is was a first and last time thing for me. The cultural hall was covered with plastic and tarps and people came prepared with everything from pudding, syrup, spaghetti sauce, mayo, oatmeal, yogurt, and even a little crisco [compliments of jared]...which ended up in my hair and wasn't so fun to wash out. For some reason i didn't think it would be as messy as it was. Everyone was freezing when it came time to be sprayed off in the courtyard. I am definetely glad i came!
